We keep the number of weddings we take low enough that both of us know every detail of yours without opening a folder.
That is a trade, and we make it deliberately. It means we turn down dates we would have loved. It also means the couples we say yes to get two planners for the whole thing, rather than one planner and a coordinator hired six weeks out who meets your family for the first time at the rehearsal.
We work in plain language and we put it in writing. After every conversation you get what was decided, what is booked, what is paid, what is outstanding and what we need from you. If we think something will not work, you will hear it from us early and you will hear the alternative in the same sentence.

Two of us lead every wedding, and neither of us works alone on the weekend. This is the team that runs the day.

Design and the plan
Deborah takes the first call and holds the design. Palette, flowers, paper, tables, dress code, the shape of the room and the order of the evening. She is also the one who will tell you honestly when a beautiful idea will not survive your venue, your season or your budget, and she will have the version that does ready before you have finished being disappointed.
Maame Safowaah-Frimpong
Operations and the weekend
Maame runs the operation. Contracts, payment schedule, guest travel, the floor plan, the seating, the timeline to the minute and the weekend itself. When a vendor is late, a bus is at the wrong entrance or the cake has been carried into the wrong room, she has already fixed it by the time it would have reached you.

A short list of dates each year. You are never competing with another couple for the same weekend or the same afternoon of our attention.
Your family's traditions come first
The rites are not decoration and they are not ours to edit. We take the order from your family and we build the day around it.
Everything in writing
Scope, budget, deadlines and decisions, documented as we go. Nobody should be working from memory three months before a wedding.
No surprises on the invoice
Our fee is agreed before we start and it does not move because the work grew. If something changes the scope, you hear about it before it is done.
Where we work.
Based in Massachusetts, and available for travel.
A wedding away from home changes the work rather than the standard: earlier site visits, local vendors we have vetted ourselves, and travel and accommodation quoted separately and up front, never added later.
If your families are arriving from more than one country, tell us on the first call. It changes the timeline more than almost anything else.
